Still under the weather

Hey,

So, I'm still kinda sick, which really sucks. I went to drumming practice last night, but when I got home last night I had this bad cough. I was planning on going to drumming practice today, but instead went to the doctor again; same clinic but different doctor.  This time it was a woman.  Got some more mystery pills, which my mom is extremely not fond of.  Sorry mom, but nothing is labeled!

Anyhow, I decided if I was going to go to practice I should study for my finals. I set out with my computer and books to go to this really cute cafe I went to once with one of the camp unnis. I had a hand drawn map. I went to the subway stations that it told me to, but it wasn't the same one I remembered going to last time. So, I called JeongHye unni to ask and she told me a different subway station. I went, but still couldn't find it.  So, I hopped back on the subway and decided to go a subway station that would likely have cafes around.

So, my next stop was Korea Univ. subway station. That's a huge university, so I figured there would be some place to study. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be anything around. I think all the cafes etc. are on campus, but I was trying to find something in the surrounding area.  I really didn't feel like wandering around a random campus. So, I got back on the subway again... I was getting rather frusterated, as I was wasting a lot of time and doing absolutely nothing productive.  So, I got off at DongmyeoAp, which for some reason, I felt would have a cafe near by.  Wrong, again.  Really wrong.

That area was really sketch.  Actually, I got super creeped out.  The roads around the subway station were all selling second-hand (or perhaps stole/black market goods).  It was kind of interesting and I was thinking I'd definitely wanna go back and check it out when I actually had time, when I saw this crowd of people.  As I walked closer, I couldn't figure out what they were doing because there seemed to be something they were crowding around, but I saw no stand or anything.  When I got closer, I peered inbetween the people and there was totally a dead man lying on the ground. I kid you not.

I can't be 100% he was dead, but I'm about 95% sure he was dead.  It's true that sometimes people get drunk and lie on the sidewalk until they regain consciousness. But it never attracts a group of people like that, and its normally at night, not at 3 in the afternoon.  And his position and the color of his skin just did not look good...

But I didn't understand why the police weren't there or anything.  It was just a crowd of shoppers and market operators, from what I could tell.

Anyhow, I was talking with Nik on the phone when I saw this, and just as he told me, I got the hell out of there, fast. That's so messed up.

So, I finally found a Starbucks, which is where I am now.  Whew.  Well, this cold better goes away real soon.
Off to study.
